Ixtapa Pacific Mexico

We always have the best time at Club Med Ixtapa. Our favourite activity as a family has always been trapeze because of the amazing Circus team. ChuCho, Pablo, Holly, Edgar and Ceci are fabulous teachers and artists themselves. We can’t wait to see them again!
The trip wouldn’t be the same without our other favoured GOs; Paulo at sailing, Luna at tennis and Izzie at archery.
It is the great GO team that keeps us coming back!

It’s pretty difficult not to have a great time at Club Med Ixtapa. We loved the Tennis staff (Jorge, Dylan, Luna) and the Sailing staff (especially the always super-chill, super-friendly Paolo). Was impressed by the kindness and dance moves of Kyle, and the ever-calming presence of Nathan. Alain was the bartender extraordinaire, always with a smile. Bruno was awesome…warm, friendly and great to share a meal with. Our girls loved the Trapeze staff, including Chucho, Holly, Pablo, Edgar, and Ceci.
We wish the baked chilaquiles would come back (the make your own version wasn’t the same) and that there were separate vegetarian-only bowls for mixing omelets so we could avoid ham chunks in veggie omelets. Also would be nice to have white rice and black beans every meal to make our own vegetarian bowls. But overall everything was great. Another memorable Ixtapa family vacation among many previous ones. Thank you!

We spent two weeks at Club Med Ixtapa last summer and had the best time. Our girls (14 and 11) especially loved the trapeze and we can’t say enough about the circus team that was there, especially Holly, and Olga. And Issam couldn’t have been more hospitable. He even did the limbo with my daughter who is 4’2” when he is probably 6’2”.

The restaurant patio has one of the most beautiful views to look out over and the beach is beautiful with amazing sunsets. The only thing that could be better is the quality of the beer. If you ask for the top shelf brands of alcohol they will give them to you, but you have to ask.

We will definitely be back.

The ClubMed Ixtapa Pacific resort was amazing! The staff is always helpful and cheerful, the food selection is really good (love all the mangoes and variety of fare each day/night!), and the activities are always fun. Good energy throughout the resort and plenty to do (or not do - as you choose!). The views are spectacular - most of the activities were near the beach/ocean so there was always something nice to look at when out and about. The beach was the nicest we've stayed at in terms of the size of waves (not too big, not too small), the sand on the beach (nice feel, clean, cushy), and the floor of the ocean (sandy, not too many shells). Was always able to find a chair on the beach too with option for sun or shade (which isn't like all resorts we've frequented in the past 10+ years). Room was clean and pleasant and beds were comfortable. Easy, short walk (usually along the ocean) to all places on the resort made it pleasurable. Tennis pros, Trapeze experts, water sports, archery, and kids/teens club GO's were fantastic - high level of knowledge within their area of expertise and they put in extra hours to make sure the shows at night were extra special too. Job well done by the Ixtapa ClubMed Team! We are already planning to go back next year.

Another wonderful week at CM. This resort is lovely. The décor creates a feeling of calmness, with artwork and various items that conjure up images and feelings of Mexico. The rooms are spacious and the bed extremely comfortable. Housekeeping were fantastic at keeping it clean and adding water bottles every day. The food choices were plentiful, especially for me as a pescatarian. Presentation and service of food was excellent and the restaurant clean and comfortable. The bars were run very well. Joy was excellent, with delicious drinks and service with a smile. She is also an incredible performer in the shows. I did not participate in too many of the sports due to an injury, but I took a few archery lessons. Izzy the instructor was incredibly well versed in her art and taught multiple lessons to all ages in 2 languages, with a very fun and positive attitude. Gerardo and Paulo were 2 other sports GO's with helpful and service oriented attitudes. Pamela, the manager in reception was very accommodating with any requests and went above and beyond to be helpful. The evening shows and entertainment were way better than expected. All of the GO's who participated; dancing, singing and trapeze acts were fantastic. Overall an amazing week, with a lot of relaxation, but always an option to do more.
