Visit the Mai Khao Marine Turtle Foundation
Phuket has numerous conservation centres that tourists can visit and donate to while in Phuket. One very popular centre to visit is the Mai Khao Marine Turtle Foundation., located on the grounds of the JW Marriott Resort at Mai Khao Beach - the North of Phuket. Not only is this a wonderful place to visit and donate to, but from time to time, the foundation will also host sea releases on the beach which it is based, where they release a number of sea turtles which have been in rehabilitation at the centre - a very popular activity and once in a lifetime experience that you will have the ability to participate in.
