Family fun in Bali
If you’re looking for a family vacation and would like somewhere that adults and kids alike would enjoy, then Bali is the perfect place to visit. Famous for its beaches, water sports, tranquil nature and intriguing local culture, Bali is the ideal getaway for many and is kid-friendly as well!
There are plenty of things to do in Bali for families with children, and there is bound to be something for your little ones to do on this perfect island. Whether they prefer something more adventurous or would like to learn more about other cultures, here is an eclectic list of kid-friendly things to do in Bali for your family holiday:
Go for a kids yoga class
One of the top things to do in Bali is to join a yoga class and this is something you can bring your kids to as well. The primarily Hindu culture and religion in Bali dates back to the 1st Century and has tremendous influence on the Balinese way of life. Furthermore, Bali has a calming and relaxed vibe that is perfect for yoga practices and many studios cater to kids as well. Teach your kids mindful breathing which is useful to help calm them down and is an important life skill too!
Balinese cooking lesson
They say the best way to a person’s heart is through their stomach, and what better way is there to connect with your kids than through a fun cooking lesson for all! Balinese dishes are complex in flavour but can be quite simple to prepare once you get the hang of it. This is a great opportunity for your kids to learn how to cook, and who knows perhaps they will be less picky with food once they know the heart and soul that goes into making these dishes!
Surf lessons
Water sports in Bali is a must do for all who visit, whether it’s a leisurely snorkel, an exploratory dive into the underwater world, or an invigorating day of surfing. Surfing is an incredibly fun sport to learn and is the perfect activity for kids with boundless energy! The beaches in Bali are great places to learn how to surf, with many surfing schools that cater to kids as well.
If your kids are still too young for surfing, there are many water sports activities that you can accompany them to, with sailing, kayaking and snorkeling being some.

Visit a temple
Visiting a temple in Bali is a must do for everyone, and what better way to educate your kids about different cultures and religions than to visit a temple for themselves. Temples like the one in Uluwatu and Tanah Lot are great places to bring kids to as they get to see the cliffside views and watch the waves as they explore the peaceful temples and rituals.
