If you happen to visit Mauritius Island between mid-January and mid-February, you can celebrate the Chinese New Year. The streets of Port-Louis will be adorned in red and there will be street shows featuring richly-decorated dragons doing wild dances. At night, firecrackers and fireworks are used to scare off demons.
